Default Filthy Exhaust Tips

Sorry the topic sounds like a porn site...

I have 1,000 miles on my S2000 and I have a good deal of carbon (exhaust remnants) built up on my exhaust tips. It also spews a good deal of liquid when it is first started.

A few questions:

1) Is this normal to have carbon build-up?

2) Is the liquid (water) spew normal?

3) How do I keep the tips clean?

4) How incredible is the S2000 (already know the answer to this one...)

Thanks in advance for you suggestions and help!

I haven't had much soot on my '02 exhaust tips (7500 miles). I usually hit them with the wash mitt when I was the car, but they haven't been bad.

Use Windex to clean them after washing and then use Never Dull on them. The Never Dull helps keep them clean. I got mine at autozone.

I also found that my tips stay clean longer after using Never Dull.
