Few Questions, Trans, Dif, Motor, Wiring, ECU
Alright I need a little back ground check on what I may need to do what I need to, to make everything work.
For starters, I want a AP2 dif. and I may get a Ap2 Trans, but for now I will keep my AP1 transmission. Will I need new axles for the Ap2 Dif? I know I can get a new tail flange and put that on my Ap1 trans. Then buy a Ap2 driver shaft and then it hooks up. Are the mounts on the Ap2 Dif the same as the Ap1? I am talking about the aluminum ones that hold it there?
Second. If I get a '04 or '05 AP2 Motor and ECU, do I need a different immobilizer or just have Honda do it for me? Also the wiring is the exact same on issues will occur?
Third, does the AP2 Cluster fit right into a AP1 dash? If it does, will everything work correctly minus the temp for the outside, which I may wire in eventually.
Thanks everyone!

Axles are same. Mounts are same. Engine wiring harness is the same.
If you get a key with the ecu, you will not need to go to the dealer for programming.

As for the trans it looks like I will be keeping my Ap1, but I will be using a AP2 rear dif. What is better to do. Buy a adapter that goes on the dif or should I buy a new Campaign flange for the output of the trans. The Ap2 one is only like 45.00. Good idea?

Not trying to sell you more parts but I say switch to the AP2 type coupling on the Tran and buy a AP2 drive shaft the mounting bolts are a larger size head and shank and a lot ease to remove. You will find that out when you start removing your AP1 drive shaft they are hard to remove the bolts without messing them up. As for the AP2 cluster is different then AP1 the AP2 uses 2 plugs AP1 4
