Fellas, I cant get this STUPID nut off the battery
I'm trying to remove my battery. I cant for the life of me get the nut that tightens the clasp over the "Positive" terminal.
I used WD40, I used baking soda. WTF. I've been messing with the car all day.
Any advice? I'm either going to strip the bolt or round out the edges on the nut.
This sucks.

Penetrating oil is like WD40 but it works even better. Go to advance auto and get Liquid Wrench and if that doesnt work get some Vise grips, if that still doesnt work cut the wire off the terminal and get a new terminal.

Also, applying steadily increasing pressure to a seized bolt is a good recipe for rounding it off. You need to yank it to snap/break free of the corrosion. Put a wrench on the bolt/nut and hit the end of the wrench with another wrench, or even a hammer/mallet. Put the pentrating oil on first, let it soak, then snap it free.
