Degrading fluids can affect overall performance of a car. If $$$ are not your constriction, I would go with synthetic fluids. How many miles on your car? What is the most recent tuneup? And under what climate does your car operate at? Check the engine air filter too.

Is the car in gear? Acceleration really takes a hit in neutral.

All kidding aside, you need to have more than "it feels slower now" to get some help from the people here.

Why does it feel slower?
What makes you think it has lost performance? We need facts here.

wow that was a vague question. "hi i have a car and its not fast. help"

The answer to you question is YES we can help. But you need to provide us with more information.

maybe you should take it to a honda dealer and have them check it out if you feel you cant accurately describe the problem here.

you basically described the entire powerband of your car. 2k - 8k? no strange noises or engine lights? no smoke from the exhaust. Does your car engage vtec? how long have you owned the s2000?

Man the first time I got my s2k after trading in my miata, floored it in 1st gear at about 6k nearly snapped my neck. Felt like the fastest thing in the world. About a month later its like ok....? Where did all the power go?

Eventually you just get used to it, especially if you came from something alot slower. Dont know if thats the case though?

our cars are real touchy, when it gets too hot the ecu pulls timing, my s2000 always feels like a slug when it's moist out.

you're an idiot pal.

you say "my car lost power"

good for you. what situation was it in, under WOT? partial throttle? in vtec out of vtec what? is it making any noise? you tell us nothing and expect the world.

heres the advice,

drain the oil, tranny fluid and rear diff fluid. Drag launch the car at 7K RPM and dont feather out the clutch, just drop it, take it to redline 10-20 times and then see what happens.
