F22 rebuild Cam carriers and Caps Wear?
Hello S2ki,
I am in the process of rebuilding my S2000's F22. I am going with a new short block from Honda, which fortunately are still available. I am looking for some advice on the cam carriers/ cam caps wear wise and what kind of mileage they look like. The engine has has under 30k miles on it, so hopefully the wear is well within spec and I can reuse without any issues long down the road. Any other tips also appreciated!

You need to properly measure the play, to help answer your questions.

looks like normal wear to me. the usual guideline for reuse for cams and bearings is if you can feel anything catch on your fingernail when scratching in the axial direction they're no good
