Default f22 block with f20 head?

hi i'm a brand new member at s2ki, i dont have an s2k but im intrested in purchasing one, i own an h23vtec prelude and i have the following q's about the s2k.

i did a lil research on this but didnt have any luck trying to find out if any one has f20 head on an f22 block? i dont know much about s2k motors and im not sure if there is even a difference in the ap1 and ap2 heads. i was interested in building a motor like this cuz i think that would be a good setup for all motor, cuz i dont see that there is that much benefit in allmotor aftermarket parts for the s2k.

this is the setup i think should get a good hp/tq #

f20 stock head

f22 block (balanced/blueprinted/knife edged crank, not sure what pistons to use ithink jdm f20c pistons for a lil higher compression)

stock i/h/e

some sort of fuel manegment not sure which one yet

what do you guys think?
sorry if there is any stupid q's or comments im a newbie to s2ks

FI......A local I bought the head from had a similar setup as me. The only real difference he was running an AP2/AP2 setup. We made around the same rwhp, but I made it running 4psi boost less then he was. My mechanic attributes that to the block/head combo.

There are many things that can contribute to power. The AP1/AP2 bare head is identical. What is different between the two is the cams. It is said that the AP2 cams are better for FI and the AP1 cams are better for NA(AP2 has less overlap if I recall). However the magnitude of the difference hasn't been measured.

For your case since you're both running AP2 cams you'd gain ~10% from redline benefit but the 2.2L would gain ~10% from greater displacement, which would be a roughly a wash. The block head combo had little impact here. The reason your system is more efficient is in the turbo design/tune.
