f22 in ap1
#2
i just did one my self the problem that i encounterd was the tail shaft of the ap2 trany shaft bolts are larger than those of the ap1 easy fix just swap them and if your going to use the ap2 ecu then you have to change the ignition switch and key then get the computer reflashed by the dealer or just find a way how to by pass it and thats where im at now but your ap1 ecu will run the engine with no problems other than that everything else bolts rite up.
hope this helps..

you can feel the diff. on the low end cuz of torque diff. you can rev to 9k once or twice but it is best to stay under 85 hun on these engines due to there design... i love my swap just cant waite to huk up to the ap2 ecu...

what about wiring harness?
ecu?
so i can buy a longblock use either tranny's slap it all in there direct bolt up and wire up??
have the computer reflashed and have a new ignition put in?
i need to know if its worth it. would it be cheaper to buy a ap1 motor again and put it in?

And why would you need new ignition?
Assuming it's an early AP2 you just swap the block and go. No tranny bolts to worry about, wiring or whatever.
It's not rated to run to 9000 but plenty do.

you would need to purchase the ignition lock assembly along with key for a ap2, install it in your ap1 then have the dealer re flashit for you
or you can buy the lock assembly for ap2 & blank key have lock smith or dealer rekey to your ap1 key then re flashed that way you still have full access to all locks
