I was wondering how yours ran when you had the AP1 crank sensor and wheel, and if you were able to fix it by swapping them for the 06 parts?

Thanks
wen i put the ap1 crank angle sensor in it started up but it was throwing a code for p0335 and i didnt drive it cuz i was waitin to drive it with out the cel so am just gonna change the trigger wheel so i can just the 06 sensor and dont have to cut my harness up

Has the head or the block been milled?

I would go back through and make sure that the trimming chain, cam gears, and crank are perfectly aligned at TDC.

It should look like this....

You might have to rotate the crank a bunch of times to get the 2 colored links to match up with TDC.

If that doesn't work then I don't know....

what if they're not perfectly @ TDC, what would be the symptoms? weird sounds? low power, or just not start?

i think the biggest concern would be risk of important things hitting, (i.e. valves, pistions, etc lol)
