F20/K20 head?
Will people help me understand if this can be done, and the purpose of this particular swap. WHats are the Pros of this setup?? Also i have heard people saying you can do a K swap into the car, and rock the F20 tranny?? Im just wondering!!
Thanks everyone!

the k head will fit the f20c block but i dont get the advantages as the valves are 1mm smaller, and tuning is also a bitch as there are about 15 maps for every degree of timing that can be changed.

K20 head has iVTEC, which adds variable timing control (VTC).
Other benefits are plentiful well tested cams. There are also big valve mods available.
There are a couple tuners working to find a way to mate the K20 head to the F20 block.

Not easily. The timing chain drive is completely different. The S2000 uses a single gear driven by the chain and cams that are driven off it. The K's directly drive the cams with the chain.
Why you would bother swapping a lower flowing head is beyond me.

In March 1923, in an interview with The New York Times, the British mountaineer George Leigh Mallory was asked why he wanted to climb Mount Everest, and replied, 'Because it's there'.

k heads have much better cam choices ans better manifolds avalible..iam actually trying to make an adaptor plate on the tranny so i can use a full k seris swap that way i can use the extra motor and kpro i have to some use...ive had very good results with past k seris builds..

You've got a lot more than a 'tranny adapter' to worry about with a K-series motor.
This type of thread broaches is ugly head every three months or so and thankfully goes away.
Give a year or so sport - if the S2000 survives another model year, it's likely to evolve with a rear drive variant of a K-series motor (along with perhaps a V-6 option). Then you can throw your money at all sorts of K-series candy and brag crazy horsepower numbers to all your buddies.
Unfortunately, Honda won't hang onto the low production F-series motor for much longer. They don't make money on it.
The S2000's F-series motor is, and will be remembered as one of the best piston-driven motors ever produced. The K-series is a pretty darn good motor as well. Rob like.
