Default Extrememly loud whining noise from Transmission or Diff (Video Clip Inside)

Can anyone help me out what this noise might be?

I initially thought it was my diff as my previous ap1 diff made the exact same noise and it turned out to be ring & pinion that needed to be replaced. I am running a low mileage AP2 Differential now and has been trouble free for the past 6 months. I drained the diff and put in new oil, but didnt find any metal shearings nor fixed any noise issues. At this point, the noise was very minimal so i just bared with it.

2 weeks later... the noise got unbearably louder inside the cabin, and i actually discovered that it is coming from the transmission area. However, i could also hear the noise coming from behind me? am i having 2 separate issues with my diff and my tranny? or is the noise from the tranny circulating inside the cabin causing it to sound like its coming from the rear as well?

The tranny is definitely making a noise,as i can hear it loud when i put my ear next to the tunnel cover/center console. It gets louder as speed increases whether in coasting or in gear as long as the car is moving.

Please help
thanks!

You done any clutch work? Still OEM clutch? Miles? Possily a worn out pilot bearing, throw out bearing? You notice anything different when changing gear, engaging clutch pedal?

^nope, clutch and shifting feels exactly the same, shifts even better since i changed the fluid last night
when i drained the tranny oil there was no metal or anything either. 125k, transmission was rebuilt 2 years ago in 2011 at a local shop, new oem clutch was put in too.

I see, well in your post you stated it went from mininmal to unbearably loud. Your assuming the noise is coming from the tranny, correct? Tranmission was rebuilt with a new oem clutch 2 years ago. If the noise stayed consistant, and not get any louder then i wouldnt question. Was the throwout bearing as well as the pilot bearing changed? My guess is that its the throwout bearing, cause it'll eventually get louder and once gives out you wouldn't be able to disengage the clutch.

Edit: search throwout bearing and pilot bearing either on here or google, and see if you can relate to the symptoms.

Being that neither bearing is in operation in his situation, it is 100% not the throw-out bearing or the pilot bearing.

Just heard you vid, tailshaft bearing 100%.

honda mtf.
i will be swapping in a new transmission. I Figured in the end, the cost to diagnose and buy bearings/labor for my current tranny, i could pitch in a couple hundred more and just get a ap2 transmission. Sucks as i didn't want to spend any more money on the car for now but i got no choice

Tail bearing can be done with trans in the car while you wait.
