....you guys should try an electronic solution for that ...... probably not what's causing Christophers problems but the car will transition from vacuum to boost way smoother!

Hi RT,

What are the electronic options for fooling the ECU into not seeing boost? I'm assuming that it involves replacing the checkvalve with something else? Is it simply a matter of swapping out a new part for the checkvalve and running some wires? Btw, who's behind you in the Corkscrew in your avatar?

Hi Schwett,

I'll call Speedcraft to see if they can help answer the fuel pressure questions you've raised. Can I run all of your experiments using just the OBD-II datalogger, or will I need something separate to measure fuel pressures? Also, I'll be able to answer your other questions next week, once my new nosecone's been installed. Just call me the Deerhunter. :-)

Thanks to you both,
CBender

Thanks, Vapors and RT. Any reason to believe that the prototype VC-2 is any different from the final version? PM me a price -- seems worth doing, if only to keep my hood liner from banging on the MAP sensor b/c of the height of the checkvalve!

PS: While Doug does look poised on your bumper, he's also two feet from hitting the apex (sorry, Doug), by the look of things, so things don't look nearly so bleak!

For reference here are the VAFC settings I sent to Chris. These numbers are the result of a lot of time and hard work. I used my Apexi RSM with G sensor to produce nice smooth power curves across the throttle spectrum. If you want more details or have questions about the numbers and why I'll try and express in a manner that might be understood

A public note of thanks to Giles for sharing the results of all of his hard work. I'll post how these work for me once I have time to enter them into my VAFC and take the car to the dyno.
