Only a before and after dyno will tell the truth. Probably very little change.

Notice the torque increase between 5000rpm and 6000rpm. About 12 ft lbs! Definately sets you back.

Well, so I finally had time to go visit UL to tune after the straight pipe and exhaust. The increase on the car was amazing. Before I was in the 330 rwhp range with the 9 PSI pulley. The limiting factor was that in the 8000+ RPM range we had to pull to much timing to prevent detonation, so the HP curve actually dropped off.

With a straight pipe and Fujitsubo exhaust (already had a Toda) we were able to add timing back in so that the HP curve doesn't drop off. With this it was putting down 370'ish and we detuned it to 360'ish.

I attribute the increase all to freeing up the flow to allow more timing at high RPM's. With the stock exhaust and cat the extra boost was actually hurting performance over 8000 RPM. Without doing exhaust work I wouldn't recommend 9 PSI, and would say stay with 7 PSI. With exhaust work I'd say 9 PSI is looking pretty good.

So, in my application the exhuast had a significant increase.

Note, the rwhp are all dynopak numbers.
