Exhaust and supercharger
So many exhaust posts and opinions have been posted about the various brands. I have not found an answer though to this one:
I am looking for an exhaust that will have longevity from rust, it needs to be as loud as stock or louder, will have same gains as stock or more, will be cat back, dual exit, and be very cost friendly.
Basically I am not sure if I should change the exhaust when adding a supercharger. I figure something changed will be better. I am trying to see what I can purchase that will be good for my car. I enjoy the look and sound of the stock one, but dont mind being louder. I guessed the stock exhaust to work well with the comptech supercharger, but what would be the next closest step up in your opinion? Or what aspects of the cat back system would need to be changed? or even the stock system? Like for instance keeping stock mufflers just changing the pipes from cat to mufflers, etc...anything! lol Let me know so I can see where I wanna go with this.
Thanks
JP

go with the comptech it looks like a polished stock and is a little louder and gives you a few additional HP, I have it and it looks and sounds great IMHO.

Spugen has great looking exhausts with modest gains at a great price.

They are also a board sponser. Tons of people on here have them so you should have no trouble finding reviews.

spugen or competch would be my recommendation. i just got done installing my comptech today in fact, and it sounds great. not obnoxiously loud, and has a nice throaty growl when it's idling. and the stainless steel look is awesome.

I feel ya on the price. Its very expensive because I am trying to afford the supercharger as it is!! lol.... I dont mind the sound of stock at all, or the looks, I just think maybe an aftermarket cat back will increase my hp a little more or be better for a supercharger setup.

for a supercharged car u dont want an exhaust with a huge diameter, most ppl often think that but it is not true. anything with a 2.25 to 2.50 inch diameter will do, the difference will be in the amount of noise. the bigger the exhaust the less back pressure, and since the supercharger makes most power in the higher rpm range, u will want some back pressure for low end. any stainless stell system will do the job, it all depends on ur budget
