Exhaust Miss Match
Ok i have a 2000' Ap1 Silverstone, with invidia test pipe already on it. I bought a setup from a guy on this board, which included a modified stock s2000 mid pipe and the rest of the invidia catback v2. He custom welded the stock s2000 mid pipe so it would match up to the invidia pipes after the mid. He did this so the drone woudnt be so bad. My question is......is the stock s2000 mid pipe diameter the same as the invidia mid pipe diameter? I dont want to lose horsepower. If it is smaller, and you think i am gonna lose horsepower, does ANYONE know a number where i can call a invidia vendor and buy the mid pipe, and i NEED invidia gaskets for my test pipe, and exhaust.
Thanks
Thanks

Please define mid-pipe. Are you referring to the pipe between the manifold and the cat?
I am in a mismatch situation as well- the previous owner enlarged the "midpipe," y-pipe, whatever it's called to 70mm, while installing a custom 70mm catback and leaving the stock cat. My exhaust is too loud, so I am wanting to put on a buddyclub spec IV or 5zigen a-spec + matching testpipe, but I don't want a larger "air pocket" before the testpipe. I want to match everything from the header back. So:
I've heard so many different numbers on stock-size piping. Can someone please clarify the following in mm, as I'm sure that's what they used in Japan:
(1) The pipe between the exhaust manifold and the cat is ___ mm
(2) The pipe after the cat and before the dual split is ___mm
(3) The pipes after the dual split are ___mm
Thanks for the help. BTW, I have a 2004 if it makes any difference here.

Mid pipe equals the pipe in the middle. It is the pipe with the resonater, your exhaust is comprised of header, mid pipe, test pipe (or cat) cat back.....im trying to use the stock honda s2000 mid pipe with invidia test pipe, and catback.
