Default Exhaust malfunction

I purchsed my S approx. a month ago and its been great. Even for how bad the roads down here are after Katrina, its still a smooth ride. This evening, however, as i was just driving out of my driveway i hear my car go from the usual low rumble it has in 1-2 gear, to a much louder, guttural growl. I pulled over immediatelly and found that the tailpipe had completely severed away from the muffler, no rust, the flange just completly severed. I figured this happened from all the bumps on the roads, and how the suspension and hooks along the exhaust are configured. There is a hook near the downpipe, and then two hooks near the tailpipe, which leaves a bunch of stress on that area. I figure that all i need to do is carefully drive to the shop and have them replace the muffler and reattach the tailpipe to the new muffler - or is there more?

If all that was severd was the section behind the muffler, it wont hurt the motor to drive it to the shop.

Yah man, got it fixed today. Definitely not had to do, just about 20 bucks - all it was rewelding and reinforcing that area. I like to work on my own car, but i don't necessarily have the tools/experience to weld peices together. Was a safe, yet cautious drive to the shop. Thanks for the input though!
