What does it sound like? I did the hand and lighter test and didn't feel anything.

i just did an exhaust install last night and i ended up going to a muffler shop and getting a gasket that closely matched and modified it to work.
the muffler shop gave me the gasket for free.

Did you get it used? New ones come with gaskets.

You have to get it at places that sell cat back exhausts or test pipes for our cars. Or, you can get a generic gasket and cut it to shape.
X, can you not purchase one from a Honda dealer ?

Only Honda dealers that also sell aftermarket parts like exhausts. The OEM "gasket" is not really a gasket. It's a metal ring that's seated onto the end of the pipe on the muffler side of the exhaust. This ring mates with the back end of the cat or test pipe and the ring is not removable (at least not easily). It will not fit onto the pipe of a cat back aftermarket system anyway. You really need that odd triangular shaped gasket. You should have one with your Supersprint.

Just to add a detail to xviper's information - you may reuse/replace the OEM style exhaust "donut" when replacing the OEM cat-back system with a Mugen cat-back.

Aren't there any other cat-back companies that allow the re-use of the OEM "donut"?

Nice to know. I guess this is because Mugen is Honda's performance division?
