Well, I guess that destroys the argument that Ti cannot be mandrel bent

btw... that exhaust looks awesome!

So far, it appears that only Amuse uses the sub-par construction method. How much does an Amuse exhaust cost compared to these others? If it isnt hundreds less, then people that have bought Amuse got screwed. If you bought it and didnt know the truth about the construction, I would be pissed!

Maybe we, as a community, ought to petition Amuse to raise their construction standards to that of the rest of the industry and give their customers what they pay for.

Holy $hi#!!!!! over $2k for an exhaust that probably flows worse than stock

Thats crazy... I think other exhausts look better too (Mugen comes to mind). I guess if you convince enough kids that your product is "JDM," then they pay for it without doing any research.

Well, here is my thought on it: Boo to Amuse for manufacturing a sub-par product that is inherently weaker and less efficient than a properly mandrel bent exhaust

The double boo to Amuse for charging more than others who make, in my mind, a superior piece

Amuse, the truth is out... better fix your stuff

Boo what? Inferior what?

The whole back section of the amuse is mandrel bent.

The front half is basically straight.

The welds are like artwork.

The entire dual exhaust weighs in at 13lbs...compared to 50+lbs for stock.

Power is the best you can get from a dual.

The fit is perfect.

Price? It's relative. Lamborghini offers an optional exhaust for the Murcielago that costs $13,000. Price an exhaust for a Ferrari sometime. A BMW M3 titanium exhaust...$4,500. If you think it's too much, don't buy it. Amuse has a great reputation for a reason.

Boo because the Amsue is inferior in its build quality... you said youself in this thread, https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...c=324463&st=25, that the welds in Titanium are susceptable to breakage:

In order to fix the problems, you had to weld in a new piece of titanium, which would cost a lay person without access to titanium or a Tig welder hundreds of dollars over the cost of a $2k exhaust.

You state that the front pipe is "basically straight".... allow me to post my rebuttal:

That looks alot more like a series of four 35-40 degree bends than a pipe that is basically straight.

The welds are like artwork because they are done by a machine.

Im not gonna argue with you about the price. If you can justify it, more power to you. However, I feel that if you pay that much for an exhaust, it should a) be properly made (mandrel bends) b) not rattle and c) not require some third party to weld in new pieces to make it work.

I understand you are defending your purchase, but there is some pretty strong factual data in this thread that points to the Amuse system being inferior in many regards to other available options.

Hating on amuse is just about as silly as hating on Volk.

Amuse makes the best exhausts that you can buy for our car, simple as that.
