Exhaust bolt and gasket question.
I purchased an Apex'i N1 full exhaust. It did not come with bolts or gaskets. I know that the gaskets can be bought from the local auto shop, but how about the bolts? Can the stock bolts be used for the exhaust? I'm sure they can, right?

and if you do break one (impact wrench= broken bolt) or it its just to damn rusty. 1 new bolt is like 7 buck or some s**t. you'd think at that price they would be stainless at least.

I just installed it. I bought bolts and nuts from the hardware store for the muffler and used the stock bolts for the cat, but while I was screwing the cat bolts back on, two of them stripped. You know how they are "seated" and unmovable from the cat, and they stripped. How do I replace those. I tapped one off with a hammer, but the other won't budge. Any suggestions??? By the way, Apex'i exhaust is LOUD.

If you have replacement bolts/nuts you can cut the existing one with a dremel tool or something similar.
However, if you still have the stud bolt in you might have to hammer it out first.
When I took my car to midas they used a blow torch to heat up the flange and tapped it out.
I guess that's the best way to do it if you have the proper tools around.
A place like Midas or any muffler shop should charge you any more than 35~50 bucks to do the job.
