Default Evaporator Code (again)

What would the probable symptoms of an evaporator code be? I had a purge valve replaced previously because of the code. They are doing a leak check tomorrow morning when it is cold.

Most likely a DTC 4....Problem with the evaporator temperature sensor sircuit. May be no symptoms but there are several short to ground paths which may trigger this code.

I know, I'm kind of in the dark on this one. I have received no information other than that from the service manager. Like I said, this is the third time I have received this code. I'll get more info tomorrow evening after the 5 hour vacuum test.

The first symptoms were erratic idling, sporadic stalls, and sluggish performance. The A/C has always worked as advertised. They replaced the purge valve and the problem went away with an ECU reset.

The second time they treated me like a moron saying I left my gas cap loose. That was BS; I checked. They wouldn't do the leak check until I had the light again. Don't know if they reset the ECU this time.

Third time...still waiting.

As there is really no such thing as an "evaporator code" but several related to that system please ask you dealer to provide the code and how it was obtained (i.e. OBD-II serial port or Honda Scan Tool).

Well they did a leak check and nothing. Scratching their heads, they started pulling parts. She had a spider inside her. Don't know how it got in there, but it was the source. Weird. They were supposed to charge me, but didn't. Very nice of them.
