im about to buy an espelir jgt500 dual exhaust, but they say i need to buy a $50 "adapter" for it to work on the 05....does anyone know if this is really nessacery, or is a just a hanger extention that i can fab myself?

Yes you need the spacers becasue of the 05 rear bumper. If you dont have the spacers, the tips will hit the bumper.
