For about a week, my EPS light has been coming on about 50% of the time after i crank my car (if i recrank immediately after, it stays on) , and i've checked my power steering fluid levels and cleanliness and they are fine. I've done numerous searches but have found little finite answers on what may be the cause of the problem. I don't really feel like letting my dealer (no longer under warranty) poke around on my car for hours while they charge me. Any help on general problem areas would be greatly appreciated.

OK guys, help the guy out a bit.
EPS = Electric Power Steering
There is no power steering fluid as it is not a hydraulic system. Maybe you checked the clutch or brake fluid. As for the EPS light I don't know, might be worth it to have the dealer scan the computer and check the system.
