Good stuff! is that the same one that I gave you to possibly go on Normans S earlier this year? Thanks for the help. BTW im reading up on page 17-14 of the Honda FSM and it says there is a rack guide adjustment that requires a special tool. Do you have that by any chance? I think it would be easier if I just pull my EPS and bring it over. Thanks for everything Bill.

This is the internal core rod from the S2000 steering rack. On the far end, you can see the teeth, the "rack" part of the rack-pinion steering. This part is controlled by the steering wheel like all cars.

Now on the close end, you'll see the long worm gear. An electric motor, with a large amount of ball bearings, spins around this to pull it back and forth to give you the electric assist. The tolerance is very tight. If there are any water spots or imperfections on the worm gear, it will hang up big time and cause no-return.

If you want me to put you on the list, you can bring just the rack. I can even straignten it if it's bent. I made a custom s2k rack straighten gig long ago just for guys like you

Not always, but thank you

I'm a little nicer to Milkbubble because he is a paid s2ki member, and he attends regular meets

yes, i know.. but i heard that only Honda dealerships have the tool to scan the EPS.. (not the same unit as a DTC scanner) and when i went to the stealership a few months back, they wanted to charge me $180 to plug the scanner in and tell me the code.. as well as charge me to leave the car overnight.

I can't remember how to do it, But you can reset the EPS system via the OBX plug. This resets the 'center' of the steering so it knows where to return to..

Driving in this:

Did this:

I tasted the water that fell out when I pulled the boot and it is VERY salty! YUCK!!
