Engine whines

I would change the tranny fluid and see if the whine is still there.

there is a regular whine on any transmission though, but it's a problem when the whine gets louder as your rpm gets higher.

That's how you usually tell if you have a transmission problem or not.

almost every s2k i have seen has that same type of faint whine. not sure what it is though.
