Engine vibration help!
So I have a 2000 ap1, 150k mi, all stock, have kept up wit matinee nice and all that. About 10k mi ago I had started to experience the engine vibrating and buckling under acceleration, i ignored it until it got worse n worse at first it was only at high rpm, then it stretch all accross the rpm ranges.. I came on here and I figured to change my TCT. So I swapped it out for a new one and a big part of it helped... But now the vibration only happens from 31mph-49mph!! It's irritating as he'll seeing as those are the main speeds I'm most commonly driving daily.. Someone please help !!! Before I sell my s2k

Ok lets more accurately diagnose what symptoms you have. You listed a certain speed it happens but also mention RPMs. Is this a shake you feel in the steering wheel or through the entire vehicle?
If you are experiencing a shake ONLY once you get up to high speeds and it is constant at that speed, you need to balance your wheels/tires.
If you are experiencing a shake ONLY dependent on RPMs and have a loss of power, you might be experiencing what is called a MISFIRE. What this essentially means is one of your coil packs or spark plugs is not creating spark, thus one cylinder is not making power. THUS, creating a vibration from the engine.

wow.. could be a lot of things causing this one. More info please! Between the speeds you listed as vibrating, does it change with rpm? If you put the clutch in does it go away? Vibration follow rpm, or wheel speed? Any CEL? I would wager this is something other than an engine problem. Maybe engine/tranny mounts, cv buckets, wheel balance etc.

If it was mis firing, it would obviously throw a random mis fire code.
OP, have you replaced the motor, trans, and differential mounts? If not then its time to do so. My motor mounts came out in two pieces when I replaced them at 129,000 miles. If your car is lowered swap the CV buckets, if not then leave them alone. Also check to make sure the drive shaft bolts are not loose.

Its irritating cos these are my main cruising speeds around town.. I feel like i make it worse by drvn it so its just sitting.. If i knew wat to do id jus do it myself, but the guessing game can get expensive, jus wondering if anyone else has experienced this
