Are oil measures not an international standard? I feel like they must be. Here in the US the owners manual states 10W-30. Are you positive your manual says 10W-40?

Yeah 100% it does, maybe they change there advice dependant on country/climate?

It's wierd cause sometimes it's noisey othertimes it's quiet under the same conditions!

This is the exact same thing I was experiencing. Try using 10W-30 from another brand.
