Let me throw my 2 cents into this.

First, where is the video of this ticking?
Secondly, does it sound like a diesel truck at idle?

My theory, with lacking information, is that you're valves are still out. Let me explain.

I had my TL's valves done at 110K by the dealership. They worked on the car. I did a long road trip the following week. Came back and noticed the car was a little louder than usual. I checked everything out, including the emissions system etc. Turns out the dealer worked on the car HOT, which is ok if you're a pro but not so good for a great valve adjustment. I was outside there 4k warranty on work.

So a buddy of mine and I ripped it apart to find out all the valves were out of spec. 6-7 hours later, started her up and the diesel sounding acura was back to sounding sporty.

If you're able I would inspect the valve clearances before going too far into anything else.

yeah valve clearances usually affect ticking types of noise most, the injectors are also responsible for a similar noise. But it could be some of the accessory items too. I know you had someone check the clearances but you never know if that was done correctly.

I would try to isolate the location of the noise - valvecover area, injectors, alternator, water pump areas etc...., you have to get in real close in there to locate it the location and possibly have someone rev the engine.

ok guys took the VC off just now, 2 spark plug cylinders are filled with oil! Not quite sure what this means for me. the rocker arms look fine ( im not a mechanic but nothing looks out of place ). there are some scratch marks on the cams but they are smooth as glass. I forgot to say that i had my head gasket replaced a couple months ago, when i took it back to him about the ticking, he said it was the rocker arms. ill post pics up soon.
thanks
