Engine Ticking Noise Normal?

Ohh it's not going to matter which one you do first man. Just do the valve adjustment while its cold, put valve cover back on, put coil packs back in (but dont bolt them down), plug them in, let car warm up, unplug/remove coils, remove spark plugs, do compression test. Done!
Thats if you do the valve adjustment yourself anyways. I've done mine once when I got the car, and did it after I put a new shortblock in. It's actually very simple to do it yourself.

Cool man, I never let a shop touch my car unless absolutely necessary. Usually the TCT sounds like a card in bike spokes, it clicks really fast and mostly audible when all warmed up. The valve noise is more of a steady ticking at idle, and you can usually hear it when revving up.

Cool. I am going to take another video of me revving up just to see what you guys think. Oh and my friends AP2 has like 20K miles on it so that makes me think that my engine is alright, unless he needs a new TCT too???

Billman250 is right. DON'T buy a new TCT. I just removed mine, sandblasted the helical gear within it, and re-installed it. My car sounded like a diesel at idle before. Now it's very quiet at idle. No diesel sound (it really did sound like playing cards hitting the spokes of a bicycle wheel) at all.
BTW, yours, nikkei325i, doesn't sound like a TCT anyway. Search YouTube for "Honda S2000 TCT Sound" if this link doesn't work. Mine sounded exactly like that. Ganze beschissen.

Yes, but it would be a waste of time. Hand sanded gears only last a few days, usually. I'd be sure you have tct issues first. doesn't sound like it.

Excuse my ignorance, but would I be able to take some sandpaper to the helical gear instead of sandblasting it?

I think this sound is somewhat normal but a valve adjustment might quite it down a little bit.
It seems that Honda motors tend to tick at idle and especially when the motor is cold. ALso check your oil level
