I was under the impression they speak English in the UK.

Well, you'll have to get the cyls inspected with a bore scope.

Another thing to do is drain the engine oil into a really clean container and look for the FRM lining from the cylinders.

Well i don't see that happening anytime soon. i'll check it the next oil change but i dunno, where can i get something to have the cylinder checked out. places around here....

Guess i'll drive it till its broke. Done. Going to pick up my differential to swap. (and figure out that the diff noise is probably going to still be there).

Would a leak down test tell us anything about a scuffed bore?
