if the dude used platinum's like he said, iridiums are superior in every way.

havent yet tried to charge the battery. but i will try that. maybe tomorrow.
yes i've only bought one plug.. i have too much expenses right now to be honest and the iridium ones are expensive like the platinums. i bought this one plug for about 14 euro.
i will replace them some other time. i felt guilty replacing them just after two months.

sorry to tell you that those plugs are not one month old, the center electrode on the one plug is rounded and looks worn, can't tell on the others. There is a lot of deposits on the lower rim, electrodes and porcelain. I pulled my plugs after one month of use and they were white. If those are less than 5 years old I'll send you a free set. . They cleaned up okay but there is no way they are new plugs. If they are 10 year old plugs the engine is doing well. If they are at least 5 years old the engine is doing pretty good, if they are one month old the engine is crap. Run a feeler gauge in the gap and see what it reads.

thanks for the replies guys -
@rob: i know they're cheap from the us... but i checked on ebay, and this was the cheapest price i found for one plug inc shipping to malta.
i wanted the iridiums, but as you said, there probably wont be a world of difference.
re the video, thanks - i will put the battery on charge tomorrow. is it best to disconnect at least one terminal? or can i connect the charger directly to the battery, which still in-circuit?
@jfusion: thats strange. all three pics are of the same plug, and on one of the pics, the electrode looks rounded.
i will compare them to the new one, when i receive it - and then will be able to take the final decision.

i just saw the edited post.
i ran a feeler gauge through all of them - 1.0mm fitted exactly, hitting both parts slightly.
the service manual says it should be 1.0mm, and to be replaced when they reach 1.3mm
this is why i assumed that they are new-ish.

the gap is good at 1mm. The one picture showed the center electrode better than the others and it appears rounded in the one pic.

Hi again ..
The new spark plug arrived and i replaced it.
Thankfully, the superglued old plug was still intact
The car still takes long to start. I tried charging the battery overnight once, and there was no difference.
I did notice one thing though .. and its very strange, in my opinion ..
When I switch on the ignition (key on), if i immediately press the starter button, it starts ok (doesnt take long).
But if i leave the iginition on for a second or more, for example, then it will take long to start.
Its really strange
When I have some time, I will try to replace the ECU with the stock one, see if that makes a difference.
