Mike, sounds like some good plans there. Let me know how everything works out. Also if you stop by Modern Garage next week, you'll get to see them installing my Turbo Kit.

As someone who has owned an '01 and now owns an '04, I can tell you with confidence that it is NOT worth the hassle.
Sure, I prefer the 2.2 litre, but I wouldn't do a swap just for a bit more torque.

The plan to swap in the 04 2.2L is out and I'm going with the Alaniz:
- Big Bore to 89mm. Brings displacement up to 2202cc.
- Replace with high strength ductile iron sleeves.
- ARIAS Forged piston kit
- Rings (low tension type) made in USA.
- Rods (Cunningham Ultra light rods)
- 88.5mm crank
- Custom bearings Tri-Metal race type
- New oil pump
- Competition Head Work
- New bronze valve guides
- 1mm Oversize valves on intake and exhaust
- New bronze valve guides
- Balance engine
- Blueprint block to ALANIZ specifications.
