Engine S2000 doesnt start after accident..
Engine S2000 doesnt start after accident..
Hi all,
after I had the accident, (front damage - and right site) and have found
like all the parts to repair it..
(mechanical - spings - radiator .. airbags...)
I tried to start the engine.. to see if it is turning..
the engine is turning (i hear that it is not blocked)..
the engine is not touched by the accident..
Its like all the electrical parts of my car still work..
roof - windows - lights - alarm with engine start-stop security...
But by one or another reason the engine does not turn on..
I tried with start-pilote-gas in the air-filter.. then I hear it is willing to turn on..
but it isnt...
Does anyone know a possibliti why the engine wont start?
Thx a lot

Typically, you need ignition (spark) and fuel (pressure) for an engine to run. Check both of these to begin with.
the 4 sparks: i havent touch
about fuel: where can i look at...?
thx

Don't the Euro cars have an impact fuel shut off? If they do it would need to be reset.
If not, then check for spark by removing the plugs and holding the thread against a ground and crank the engine. To check for fuel pressure, first listen for the fuel pump on initial ignition ON. You should hear it pressurize up for a couple of seconds. If you hear it, then the pump works. Now you need to check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail. If you don't hear it, that's where you need to place your attention.

"fuel cutoff switch behind dashboard above bonnet release handle."
It has a "button" that must be pressed before engine can be restarted. Page 150 of UK spec handbook. Switch looks to be mounted with "button" at top, so seems like you press down.
Hope that helps
