Engine running post valve adjustment -- someone mind having a listen
#21
My experience with my ap1 is that the valve gaps do not change one iota. More importantly, Billman reports that his ap1 gaps have held rock solid - I think he reported they have held over 100K miles. Incredible actually.
If I owned a DBW I would set them on the loose side for sure. I agree with that.

The R18 engine found in the 8th gen Civic and HRV can go 500k without needing any adjustment, yet the K-series engine in Accords/CRV's have SUPER tight exhaust valves causing the engine to misfire even after ~60-70k miles.
The AP1 and non-DBW AP2 almost never need adjusting, same cannot be said for the DBW AP2 as we know.
