You shouldn't have tightened the belt at all. The tensioner does all the work.

i didnt tighten the belt... i just was curious if the belt was too tight...

UGHH..this is annoying. I'm selling the car and buying a supra. had this car just over a year now, and nothing but issues.

don't give up. It is only a trial and error process and it takes time to resolve. But in the end, do what is best for you

I am having this same issue - I lose RPMs at idle when AC is on or if I put the windows up. It's even started doing it when I stop and the RPMs go down to idle without AC.

I took it into the dealership (still under ext. warranty) and they said it was the alternator. (And yes, it's covered. phew!)
They have ordered one in so when it's in, I'll let you know if it worked.

why not just remove the AC who needs it anyways just put the top down
