Default Engine rebuilding advices needed. Spun crank bearings

I think I've been a bad boy this year. Santa aldready punished me before Christmas

Almost redlined 5th gear up a hill in my vortech+f20c+4.44 setup yesterday. Spun the crankshaft bearing on cylinder 2

I am planning to increase the boost to 9psi, bigger injectors and piggy back Emanage. I need a lot of kind advices to strengthen the engine for future plan

1. How and where do you guys get your engine strengthen? Our cylinder is elliptically shaped, how can this be strengthen? What crankshaft bearings do you guys recommend?

2. Has any one got any good dyno proven gain with Toda cam b with the vortech setup?

3. Has anyone got any good dyno proven gain with Toda extractor with the vortech setup?

4. Has anyone tried the 2.2 stroker kit with supercharge/turbocharge induction yet?

Many thanks in advance for all kind recommendations.

Not too good- I think this is the 1st vortech engine failure. I don't have much advice, Other than blueprint the stock bottom end. Sorry to hear about your problems. How many miles on your car with the blower?

About 13,000 km
It's not too bad when you look on the bright side
A chance to upgrade the engine. This is kind of expected with this engine/setup

Wasn't it only a few months ago that you installed the supercharger?

1 drag
1/2 track day
1 short hill run
shifting at 8500

other than that pretty much normal driving.

I think the final straw was the slick tyres I've been using the past 1 week since track day. I've got 4.44, exedy clutch, redline gearbox oil.
So....I think I found the next weakest link after clutch and diff is the crankshaft bearing rather than gearbox

Lets stop talking about how and why....it's can be a little bit depressing.

Lets talk about engine rebuild and strengthening PLEASE

How many miles stock? I remember Skychicken having positive results with a Toda header, I don't have any numbers on my car though. I don't know If the Toda cams/stroker kit will work well with the blower, Toda would be the ones to call on that. If the Factory 2.2L cars don't rev to 9K, I wonder how wise it would be to rev the 2.2L to 9k. If you did want the increased displacement and lower redline you would have to get a smaller blower pulley to get max boost at a lower rpm. I do find your engine failure "troublesome" . Did your car recieve the updated oil jet bolts?

Is money no object? You will have to tear down and inspect your current block to see if it can be reused. If the bearing journals are damaged I wouldn't try to repair it. I would look into a set of A/M rods, pistons, sleeves if necessary. (JE, Arias, Crower, Cunningham, Carillo, Eagle, Etc.) You may want to ask around to find a reputable machine shop that has experience with installing sleeves in a honda block. Are you going to rebuild the block or is someone else? I would use OE bearings, I don't know of anyone in the states that uses A/M bearings.
