Default Engine rebuilding

So when would be a correct time to use them? I have searched and come up with no clear answer. The block I have has around 70k on it.

Is honing and or boring required for over sized pistons? or are they drop in? I have assembled engines before but this will be my first FRM engine, and clueless to the over sized pistons that are said to be needed in a block that very few can machine.

Thanks

Any shop can machine these blocks, they just need to call the manufacturer of their bore/hone machine to get the proper tooling. its very easy.

if you have to take it apart put oversize pistons in it. Every single block I have taken apart had cylinder too far out of round/tapered to use.

also make sure the shop that does the machine work had a deck plate
