Engine problems.....
Hi guys. I have a really bad problem.......Ok.....Ive just noticed that my engine was makin a clicking sound.......Then im pullin out the drive way and got on the interstate and floored it and hit VTEC and when i stopped for gas....I started bak up and it made a HORRIBLE Loud knocking sound then went bak to nothing when it was @ idle but then as i was driving anything over 3k it starts to knock.......and gets louder so I made it home and parked it....I noticed that i was extremely low on oil.......I had a leak somewhere.......Someone told me it I coud have spun a rod bearing or threw a rod....??? What do you guys think? I really need some help here...Thank you.

Potentially very bad. When was the last time you checked the engine (before today)?
Any mis-shifts / over-revs in the past?
As a rule of thumb, don't drive at ALL on a HORRIBLE sounding engine. Tow it to the dealer.

Damn.....No mishifts......ive hit 9k a few times racing.......How much you think it will cost to get fixed...round number?
Engine plus labor: ~$7000
There are used heads and engines floating around the site. But labor will still run a pretty penny.
If you didn't fubar things too badly, maybe ~$1-2k for rebuilding the head?
