Engine Problem (P0107 and P1412 detected)

Update:

My car as I said was idling at 1000rpm. Tried turning on the headlights and AC... It went back to the way it was in the beginning , 500rpm and the engine dies.

Does saying that I can somewhat smell fuel like it wasn't burned well? I could smell the fumes of the exhaust kinda doesn't smell like the usual scent that I know.

No! You are smelling gas because if you are in fact running in limp mode, the engine dumps gas and retards timing to run in this safe mode. I would guess you have a vacuum leak. I would start with the IACV. I absolutely hate the damn thing on cars! If you go to a shop they should have a little machine that will send smoke through the vacuum lines and you can see if there is a leak.

Oh I see. When in limp mode, does that include that issue of the rpm going up till 3000 only? I had opened the IACV and cleaned it from all the dirt it had previously hoping that it would already solve the problem. How may vacuum lines are there? Are these the small hoses near the engine going to the vacuum tank? I counted 4.

How about the MAP sensor I posted that when I pulled the plug off it nothing happen. Does that count for it to go on limp mode?

Try this - take the MAP sensor off again, and look if there's a little O-ring underneath it. It's black. If you've lost it, which can happen when you remove the MAP sensor itself, then all you have to do is replace that.

The MAP sensor O-ring is still there.

Will have an OBDII reader later on the car. Hope it can see what's wrong

Current update:

Got hold of an OBD2 reader and found the following fault codes:

P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input
P1412 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (I think it has a different number for Honda)



*P0107

So what I did was check the S2000 manual on what to do and checked if there was electric current going through the MAP, and there was 5v through the yellow/red and green/white wire. I checked the map sensor and it was similar to the Civic models here so I tested the Civic MAP on my S2K, but nothing happened, even unplugged the MAP wire plug but no change also, no improvement when I replaced the sensor. Got curious and installed my MAP on the Civic and it worked fine, unplugged it and the Civic engine reacted.

So all I know is my MAP sensor is working fine, but why is it that nothing happens when I unplug it? What should I do next? What should I check?

If you're going to scan it, post the codes properly or no one can help.

P1412 is not a valid code. do you you mean P0141, O2 sensor?

"sensor heater circuit heater malfunction" is not valid and incomplete.

Scan it again. Make sure you are on proper protocol with the scanner.

Sounds to me your rear o2 sensor is junk.

With the map, its a bad MAP, wiring, or ECU.

Yes sir it's P1412 that appeared on the scanner tool. P0141 is the similar fault code for it.

Map sensor itself that came from my S2k was tested on another car and it worked fine. The Map sensor from the other car was tested on my S2 which ended up with no change, nothing happend, still the same problem.
