how much you think all that will cost, aprox?
Depends on how radical you go with the build. If you wanted to keep everything stock it could cost as little at $3k. If you go crazy and build a 300whp stroked & bored 10,000 rpm monster, you could spend up to $10k (or even more). Probably best to go somewhere in between that fits your budget.

Best thing is to get on the local Toronto forum and ask for a recommendation of a reputable shop for tuning. Go talk to the owner, tell him the problem and how much you can spend...push that number till it almost hurts, you probably won't have the motor apart again anytime soon (or want to for that matter).

You could still have a bad valve or retainer - I wish you would listen to the advise given to you on this thread and get a leakdown test and a visual inspection of the valvetrain - You risk a catastrophic engine failure if you drop a valve by driving the car until you eliminate the possibility of valve damage!
You are asking but you are not listening to the advise being given.
Ask me how I know My stubborness cost me over 10 thousand dollars...

You ask all the questions, you receive sage advice, you do not act on the advice. You don't even know what the CEL code is. CMON man! S2ki is trying to help you! Wake up!

DO NOT RUN YOUR ENGINE - Find a shop that will do a leakdown now or leave your car parked until Speedstar can get to it! IF YOU DRIVE YOUR CAR TO A SHOP YOU RUN A RISK OF A MAJOR FAILURE. Pay now or pay later! I don't know what else to tell you - I know it sucks but you have an opportunity to avoid a huge expense if you show restraint and have your engine tested by a mechanic that knows what he is doing!
You can still have a bad valve that was bent and the force of the spring can put it back in position but not fully seat (COMPRESSION LEAK) and now that stem is weakened - It will fail, It is only a matter of how many engine revolutions until it gives up and now you need a whole new engine instead of some headwork!
Good luck!
