Default Engine Performance

Is it really worth it to buy lets say a.....K and N Cold air intake. Im hearing all different stories from, losing power, to increasing power, to being the same and having it only for noise. I mix it up by driving with intake cover on and off, and its very noticable, and its time to change my filter, so i want to go ahead and upgrade if im gonna spend money on a filter, but i dont want to if im not gaining anything!

Any comments are welcome, so long as they are educational to me

And if would buy a aftermarket CAI what brand and model would you with!?

The oem setup is quite effective, but you can improve this by cutting the central plastic plate out of the box and get rid of the 90 degree air-tube that can be removed from your airbox cover.

Personally i like the J's intake but i don't now how much you would gain.
