Engine might be done..
Just noticed tonight after a drive that there is this loud knocking sound coming from my block.
Not sure what it is exactly yet, might be a spun bearing. The oil is fine and clean. We suspect the previous owner might not have done oil changes regularly..
My question is, how much roughly does it cost to get it rebuilt with labor, or used f20 with labor to put it in?
By the way, my engine is completely stock besides exhaust.
Thanks for all help!

really thats it.. how many miles do you have on the engine? did you did any leak down test? compression test? weird idlin' noise that could be a probable cause..

First thing I would do is pull the oil pan and do some investigating and get a leakdown test done. If the motor is done, go the same route I went and buy a used block. I bought mine from a member on here for $1500 shipped with about 40,000 miles on it. I got a really good deal on it. Expect to go through more labor and money if planning to rebuild. Good luck.

Yeah I think I'm going to get a shop to open it up and see what exactly is wrong. If it's just bearings and rods I'll just replace those, but if not it looks like i'll have to look into a new short block.
