Default Engine knock? This sounds horrible...

Hey guys I think I ran my car too low of oil or something. I replaced the TCT recently to see if it was that but the noise got worse. I’ll post the video on here. Tell me what you think.

It's possible to install the tct wrong, and tbe result woukd be excessive chain noise. You definitely don't want to run engine if that is the issue.

So maybe you indeed had a bad tct causing initial noise, and improperly installed tct made it worse.

Tell us how you went about the install.

while it is idling disable one coil at a time and see if the knocking noise stops or lessens, checking for rod knock.

that's not knock, it sounds like the chain is slapping the head at the oil return orifice. if you take off the valve cover, you should be able to see missing chunks in the oil return orifice/void. if you fix it now, there shouldn't be any lasting damage.

The first noise in the video is definitely not tct or chain noise.

When you rev it, it resembles chain noise but I feel the frequency is too slow to be chain related.

I installed a Ballade sports TCT. Just followed the directions on how to do it. Took the old one out put the new one in. Unscrewed the screw that puts tension on the chain on the ballade tct, put the cover over it and just tightened everything in place.
