Default Engine Hoses

Sometimes when i am idleing, the car sputters pretty hard. So today i had the day off and i started snooping around the engine bay. I found that my CAI was not even touching in certain parts, so i fixed that. Then I looked for a vacuum leak and found that green arrow had no fastener on it. So i went and bought one. So my question is, what is the nomenclature of that hose, what does it do, and can that make my car rev very low while idleing?

Also if you could give a brief description of the other color coded hoses it would be so appreciated. I am new to the engine world. So this would be a great help! Thank you so much in advance. Peace.

Blue is a vacuum lead that goes under the manifold and connects to the ICV at the bottom of the pic.

Pink if the crank case breather that connects to the intake piping. It draws off fumes from the crank case and burns them through the engine.

BTW, vacuum lines don't really need a clamp of fastener as it is vacuum that holds them on.

As for you CAI not touching, what do you mean by this?

I will take a picture and post it tomorrow. I have read so much about lines being reversed on after market intakes and so i went to look cause i have the 411 code and found that one of hte hoses werent even attached. I am not even sure what the item was that i attached it to. But i know it was the right thing because the hose had snapped due to dry rot. And there was a piece still on the nipple where the hose went. Please check back tomorrow if you could.

(please understand, i am new to engine mechanics, but i am a pnuematic and radar tech. So i am not stupid, just ignorant with motors.)
