Default Engine & Gearbox movement

When I rev my engine at a stand still the car wobbles, I notice when thrashing it from a standstill there is alot of movement in the engine before it actually decides to launch, is there anythign I can do to improve this?

Also when donutting, wheel spinning, drifting out of junctions the gearstick wobbles like crazy? Is this normal?

I also get the wobbly gearstick syndrome at high speeds on the motorway (80MPH+)?

The car has always done this, just now ive decided to question it.

Any help would be great

Thanks

the gear stick wobble is totally normal.

as for revving from a standstill, the car might initially wobble as the engine spins up, but if you have the clutch in and are holding the revs at say 6000rpm for a launch, there should be no wobble at that point.

as for "thrashing it at a standstill and the engine moves before the car launches" i am not sure what you're saying here.

did you buy the car used? Check your motor mounts, never know right.

How about upgrading them anyway? It was a nice mod on VW's.. who makes kits and how much vibration?

There is an engine damper kit available in the "S2KI Marketplace", if I remember correctly. This helps with the wobbly shifter.

Check out the J's engine torque damper... most of those who purchased this say it's the perfect remedy for the engine movement/vibrations.
