if the failure rate was anywhere near what this poll indicates, honda would have one of the worst p.r. disaster in automotive history on their hands, and would probably have recalled every s2k.
Wait a couple of years and they may have a PR disaster on their hands.

my guess is the actual failure rate is more like 1/100 or 1/500 than 1/10
Do you think 1 in 100 is acceptable at an early stage in a cars life?

In everything you produce, there's always going to be the bad apple. It's what you do with the bad apple that counts.
I agree wholeheartedly.

In Australia there have been several bad apple F20C's I have heard of at least 10. With the exception of porous block failures Honda Australia has done nothing.
