engine constantly running rich need help
I have the UR turbo kit. After perfect installation the engine check light came on. The carz running too rich (I think). Can that harm other parts? spark plugs, injectors, etc.? I'm gettin it tuned soon but itz still couple of days away (my car is a daily driver) so I was wondering if anyone can help me out or recommend what to do or if itz okay to run my car like this.

running rich can faul up your plugs quicker and of course the obvious, burn more gasoline(less MPG).
but whatever you do, running rich is much better than running lean(detonation ).

The problem with the UR kit is it uses the Greedy Emanage and it can't properly reduce fuel. You need to reduce fuel during normal driving (non WOT) becuase the kit has upgraded injectors with stock ECU. Stock ECU doesn't know about larger injector and sends the Fuel pulse based on stock injectors. This makes the fuel system run rich. Running rich is bad for your gas mileage and feels rough.
You can tune the car for WOT but not for closed loop fuel trim--unless you fool the ECU that the load is extremely light, but then you'll have problems with too much ignition advance. Not good for turbo.
There's a post on Greddy E-manage that describes the problem in detail.
Bottom line is you probably need AEM EMS to properly tune the UR kit. However, even with AEM, I think there are a few draw backs. No emissions controls and no Barometeric compensation of fuel unless you run external sensors.
