Engine clicking after it gets warmed up

Living with it for years isn't such a good idea. Your chain will start slapping the inside of the channel it sits in and chewing away at the casting edges after letting it go too long... FYI for anyone who just lets it go on without repairing it..

Did you sand blast the worm gear? Sanding it with a dremel or paper will ruin the worm gear.

Didn't sandblast it. I sanded it down with a sanding stone that came with my dremel kit. I was mindful to not stay in one spot too long so I didn't flat edge one side. I just lightly went around the gear taking away that sheen it had to it.

This is a temprory fix and it will come back. Just get a Billman TCT and be done with it. Every time you take off/install the TCT you run the risk of breaking those bolts inside the head and that can be a pain in the butt!!

Isn't Billman's TCT just a normal new TCT with a sandblasted worm gear and interior of the piston?

No. His is a completely different housing.

X2! my sandblasted worm gear lasted for about 2 months. billman tct's the ticket.
