Engine bore question
how much does an 89mm bore bring displacement up to? how noticable is the added displacement? will e-manage suffice to tune this set up? what are the advantages of using titanium sleeves?

2.2L. It's a big difference. e-manage can do the job. No real advantage, but there are a couple disadvantages, the thermal expansion rate for Ti is much different from standard sleeve material like iron so different piston to wall clearances will have to be calculated...then comes the other problem where theoretical and real world isn't always the same.
Good luck, hope that helped. Oh, Ti is stronger than iron so I guess that might be a plus

Hmmm....so if I recall someone claimed that a 90mm bore is possible. Is this true or is the max 89mm?
Edit: Better yet....if 89mm isn't the max bore...what is?

Well, you can only overbore so much. I think Honda only allows about 1.2mm, so that's not much. You could possibly get away with a 2mm overbore, but I wouldn't want to juice it more than a 100shot or boost more than 8psi. The safest way to get extra displacement via overbore is to sleeve it. You can go quite large with aftermarket sleeves.
But, if you really want the cubes, I'd just stroke it to 2.2.

Well, 2.2L would be nice but I was just wondering cause I'm buying a used block off another member who has had Ti sleeves with an 89mm bore machined into it.
