Can you confirm that this is truly the case? The #25 fuse is the 3rd slot down on the second bank (right row) of fuses. On my '00 (and on '01s as well), this fuse is for "ECM, Gauge Assembly, Heater control panel, Immobilizer Indicator light, Convertible to control unit". With out this fuse, my car runs like crap and stalls out all the time (an experiment I did once). You should confirm where the ECM fuse has been moved to and check that it is intact (ie. not blown).

A bit of math:
If gernby has an '02,
And gernby is usually correct about such things,
And if indeed you have no fuse in the #25 slot,
And the dealer told you it is not necessary to put a fuse in that slot,
And, indeed, you are clear on which slot #25 is:

DEALER = MORON!

Alright guys - here's the skinny....

Car off, lights on, door open - I hear the headlight buzz. It would appear that the fuse is installed or that this buzzer circuit has been moved and may no longer be tied to the ECM fuse.

I'm pretty sure I've properly located position #25 in the fuse box.......

I'm staring at my owner's manual. The fuse box layout I'm looking at is the one for the interior fuse box located below the dash. When I lay in the floorboard and look at the fuse box, it appears to be oriented the same way as the drawing with 2 rows of fuses on right side. According to this drawing, position #25 is right row, 3rd fuse from the bottom. The manual says this position is not used.

Thanks,

Thanks Gernby. There is a 7.5A fuse in the 3rd from the top position and it is good. AC is also working fine.

thanks,

I just checked mine yesterday, there was definitely too much slack. I tightened it to about 1/2 inch of slack, i'll see if it helps and let you know. Won't hurt to check it anyways.

Also try tightening up the slack on your throttle cable.
