Default Engine Block Removal

I am a little stuck with attempting to remove my engine and would like some help if possible!

I am ready to lift my engine out of my car and I will do this with the tranny attached. However, I have removed the head and cannot attach a bolt next to the vtec solenoid. I put one of the chains around the tensioner, however on the passengers side I am completely lost as to where to attach the other chain.

Any suggestions? I was thinking of using the chains through my middle two head bolts however I do not see how I would be able to attach the bolts to the chain.

no...no just use the motor mounts .. you will need the swing room when you pull it.... so a chain around each mount an then make sure you are careful to not get the trans cought on anything ..... ive done it a few times but the easiest way is still to pull trans and engine separate

Perfect! What I did was use the motor mount on the passenger's side. Should I balance that out by using the motor mount on the drivers side as well? Why is it not a good idea to use the tensioner?

How did you get the transmission out?

take the starter off take the shaft off drop the subframe remove the steering shaft (or slide it out of the collar)remove the clutch fork take the bolts out of the trans and yank that MF out.... Yeah I would always use the mount b4 something on the engine.... especially if the head was off already

when I was contemplating my block removal it was suggested that I use an auto-leveller on the engine lift if you want to pull the tranny with the block. As mentioned above you can hook the chain ends to the engine mounts.
