I had the same problem.

Mine was due to have too tight of a throttle cable. Check your throttle cable, and make sure you have 5-8mm play in.

dont mean to scare anyone but...my engine was doing the same thing...the RPM's would dip after i rev up to 2k. It was just went back to normal until one day it decided to take a dump. I am not saying that if your engine dips that it will do the same thing sooner or later but i am just warning you guys not to make the mistakes that i made. read the thread.

If anyone of you guys experiences a loss of power while driving....DO NOT TRY TO ENGAGE VTEC. I tried and this is what happened...

if you are having this problem take a lookat the actual octain count in your fuel. My regular gas station was only 91 octain so I swiched to sunoco gas at 94 octain.problem solved so far.
It has been explained to me like this, if your octain is to low the car gets pre-detonation and ecm retards the timing to fix it and that is what causes the drop in idle.
(the computer is trying to composate for it).
Im not positive if this is everyones problem but it sure seemed to fix mine right now.
any input on weather it fixed your problem or not.
